The third issue of Vienna Design Week (1-11 October) gathered about 19 000 design lovers. They had the opportunity to attend nearly 80 events that took place at different locations throughout the city. The programme included exhibitions, discussions and meetings with both established names in design and young designers. This year it was extended with the Debut, Carte Blanche and Laboratory formats, which are expected to become an integral part of the future Design Weeks in the Austrian capital.
There was also a special programme for the children – three workshops were organised in the ZOOM Children’s Museum. Among the highlights during Vienna Design Week were also the Tape installation and the “Chinese” products of Michael Young. The Idea Generation discussion and the numerous lectures in the University of Applied Arts Vienna provoked a great deal of interest.
